WWE Monday Night Raw plans were forced to change on the fly after Penta sustained a legitimate injury during the show from Oklahoma City.

Penta faced Solo Sikoa in the Last Time is Now tournament on Raw and the luchador landed on his shoulder following a hurricanrana from the barricade to the floor. Penta immediately received medical attention and the match was waved off following a commercial break, with Solo Sikoa being declared the winner.

Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that Wade Barrett went to a commercial break as an audible while Joe Tessitore was being fed information. Penta sustained a dislocated shoulder and wanted to try and put his shoulder back in to continue the match, but WWE's medical team prevented him from doing so. The match was originally planned to last 12 minutes but was called off after only 4 minutes.

While Penta's injury caused the match to end early, the planned winner of the match did not change. Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Solo Sikoa was always scheduled to pick up the victory.

"I actually found out that he [Penta] was not going to win. Solo was going to win, and they were going to do Gunther and Solo. I thought when that happened, I go, ‘Oh my god,’ because I was sure Penta was going to win the match," Meltzer said.

Penta has been a part of WWE since late 2024 and made his debut on TV in January 2025. He is scheduled to reunite with Rey Fenix as the Lucha Bros at AAA Guerra de Titanes on December 20 to take on Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.
