Preparation for WrestleMania 42 is causing panic within WWE, it has been revealed.

According to a report from WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, there is panic within some departments at WWE's headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut as they are facing deadlines in preparing promotional materials for WrestleMania 42. Some of those departments are falling behind while producing the promotional materials, however, which has led to the discontent within the company.

Preparing the promotional materials will have been made more difficult, however, due to WWE's creative plans for WrestleMania 42 being in flux. Only two matches have been made official so far in CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship and Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Title. WWE internally had a full card ready for WrestleMania 42 before the Royal Rumble, but those plans were thrown up in the air due to WWE's disappointment with lower-than-expected ticket sales. Two more matches for WrestleMania will be made official on Saturday night at the Elimination Chamber, as the winners of the respective matches will earn title shots at the Undisputed WWE Championship and WWE Women's Championship.

WrestleMania 42 ticket sales continue to lag behind WrestleMania 41 at the same time last year. According to WrestleTix, 36,200 tickets have been moved for night one of WrestleMania 42, while 37,135 tickets have been distributed for night two.

Ticket prices have fallen for WrestleMania 42 in recent weeks, but they remain high. Combo tickets for the show begin at $456 and rise to $46,000 for the second row. The cheapest ticket for WrestleMania Saturday is $228 and rises to $16,000 for the second row. For WrestleMania Sunday, tickets range from $215 to $16,000.
