Nyla Rose appears to have simply been benched by All Elite Wrestling, with the former AEW Women's World Champion having not wrestled for the promotion in almost one year.
On Fightful Select Answers Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp noted there was "no word at all" about why All Elite Wrestling haven't been using Rose, and Sapp hasn't heard her name brought up within creative discussions.
Rose isn't suffering from an injury as she has continued to wrestle on the indies amid her absence from AEW. This included Rose winning the Pro Wrestling EVE Title from Nightshade in London, England over AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door weekend. Rose will next wrestle for the promotion on Friday, November 7 when she defends the EVE Championship against Rhio at the Big Penny Social in London.
Nyla Rose is an AEW original, having signed with the promotion back in 2019. She was the second-ever AEW Women's World Champion, holding the belt for 101 days in 2020.
Rose hasn't wrestled on AEW TV since teaming with Harley Cameron in a loss to Mariah May and Mina Shirakawa on the November 22, 2024 episode of AEW Rampage. Since that match, AEW Rampage has been cancelled and Mariah May has signed with WWE and been repackaged as Blake Monroe.
