Nicole Kidman Was Rushed To Hospital After Filming Pro Wrestling Scene For Margo's Got Money Troubles

Nicole Kidman is the latest celebrity to lace up the professional wrestling boots, though this was due to her undergoing a new role in upcoming TV show Margo’s Got Money Troubles in which she plays a former professional wrestler turned lawyer called ‘Lace’. The 58-year-old actress, despite this just being an acting role as a wrestler, was not immune to the dangers posed by the sport and ended up being sent to hospital after filming a scene.

Speaking to PEOPLE, co-star Nick Offerman revealed that due to being ill during a day of shooting, the physical toll on Kidman saw her hospitalized. 

"We're there in the morning, we're getting warmed up — some of us are going to be performing some actual wrestling, and so we have our doubles, we have people we're working with. And the word comes in that Nicole has the flu, and we might not get Nicole today. And we're like, 'Oh no, that's such a bummer, because we only have the one day that we've built this whole circus for… It's about 8:00 in the morning that we get this news. Come to be about 11:00 a.m., the word comes in: Nicole's coming. She was so pale, shaken. She just had the flu really so bad. She showed up and made sure that we got every shot of her, total superhero style, did everything we needed to so that we did not lose one scrap of what we needed for her character."

Unfortunately, this led to her being taken to hospital for an IV. Kidman noted that she did undergo some training prior to filming, and despite her fears of an injury she locked in and focused when getting in the ring. She even stated that she’d be open to doing more in wrestling.
