New Movie Cody Rhodes Was Discussed For Revealed

Cody Rhodes will be making an appearance in The Naked Gun movie, but the former Undisputed WWE Champion was almost in two movies in as many weeks.

Fightful Select has reported that Cody Rhodes was asked to read for a role in Happy Gilmore 2. The two sides held talks over a role but Cody was unable to commit due to scheduling conflicts. The filming schedule for the Netflix movie was said to be extensive.

Had Rhodes appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, it would have seen Cody reunite with All Elite Wrestling's MJF, who plays one of the titular character's sons. Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella also appeared in the comedy flick.

While he may not have appeared in Happy Gilmore 2, Cody Rhodes was recently cast in the upcoming Street Fighter reboot as Guile. WWE's Roman Reigns is set to portray Akuma in the picture.

With the exception of a one-month spell earlier this year, Cody Rhodes has been ever-present on WWE programming since the 2023 Royal Rumble.
