Lil Yachty Hits Back At Fans Unhappy With His WWE Appearance

Lil Yachty is one of many celebrities who have made their presence known on WWE programming in recent weeks, with it looking likely that he will be in the corner of Trick Williams for his United States Championship challenge at WrestleMania 42. On SmackDown this past week, the rapper emerged with Williams and even helped to beat down Zayn to close out the show. 

With WWE’s influx of celebrities ahead of WrestleMania including Jelly Roll, iShowSpeed, and more, some fans have criticised WWE’s overuse of non-wrestlers around WrestleMania season, with one even making a revised WrestleMania poster in which WWE’s top stars were replaced by the aforementioned celebrities. Lil Yachty was non-too-pleased with this, hitting back on X. 

“i understand yall upset but don’t try and step on my fucking moment, i’m at the tv screen every monday and friday religiously. i’ve been to more ple’s than most. i probably know more history than most of yall. who’s to say i don’t deserve to be apart of something i love so dearly?”

When it comes to WWE’s booking of the Trick Williams/Sami Zayn, most negativity comes from the fact that Carmelo Hayes was shunted from the US Title picture, with it reported that WWE were “aware” of this unhappiness.
