Kairi Sane Holds Talks With AEW

Kairi Sane has yet to sign with a new promotion since she was released by WWE earlier this year but that doesn't mean she hasn't held talks with companies.

Fightful Select has reported that Sane has held talks with All Elite Wrestling but a deal hasn't been completed between the two sides. A number of promotions are interested in Kairi, including companies outside of the United States. One promotion she seemingly won't be signing for, though, is Marigold, with those familiar with the situation noting that Sane's promotion in Japan is not expected to be Rossy Ogawa's company.

Sane was released by WWE in April in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42 along with around 30 wrestlers. There was a backlash to Sane's release and '#WeWantKairi' trended on social media, but the company did not bring her back in a situation similar to R-Truth in 2025.

There was fan speculation that Sane would make her AEW debut at All In on August 30, possibly in a match against Thekla, but Fightful noted that Kairi wasn't factored into the Wembley pay-per- view at any point.
