Jim Ross is cancer free, with the veteran announcer planning to be at AEW All In Texas on July 12 following his recovery from illness.
J.R. recently underwent surgery for colon cancer, the latest in a long list of health concerns for the legendary commentator. Talking to Conrad Thompson on the Grilling JR podcast, Ross revealed how he is feeling post-surgery:
“The cancer’s gone which I’m very happy to say. I’m blessed that my health has returned and I’m feeling pretty damn good,” revealed Ross, after undergoing surgery in late May.
Ross added that he was excited about returning to work, recently noting it was ‘realistic’ that he could play a part in All In Texas in several weeks, with Ross now stating it his intention to work the supershow at Globe Life Field.
A part of AEW since its inception, Ross has missed significant time in the last few years, with 2024 alone seeing JR undergo surgery for skin cancer and a wrist complaint, as well as missing time due to being admitted to hospital with shortness of breath.
