Jelly Roll Pitched To Lose At WWE SummerSlam

Music star Jelly Roll wrestled and lost his first ever match at WWE SummerSlam 2025, with Jelly Roll himself having pitched losing the bout.

Roll is far from the first celebrity to have wrestled a match in a WWE ring, but it was odd to see a guest lose as WWE usually book celebrities to win when they compete. Speaking to Cody Rhodes on What Do You Wanna Talk About, Jelly Roll reveals he personally pitched to lose at the ‘Biggest Party of the Summer’:

“I told, I told Triple H, I want to lose SummerSlam, yeah, just because no celebrity’s ever got took a L, yeah, always put them over, yeah. And if you don’t put me over, I always have a reason. Yeah, there’s always just something lingering here. I can pop up anytime any one of those three. Oh, man,” said Jelly Roll.

In recent years the likes of Bad Bunny, Logan Paul (before signing full-time with WWE), and Johnny Knoxville have all achieved wins inside a WWE ring. Whether Roll wrestles again remains to be seen, but it is believed that he and WWE will work together again in the future, even if just in a recording capacity.
