Jeff Cobb to WWE is seemingly a matter of when not if, and the former United Empire member’s WWE brand has been revealed ahead of his debut.
Cobb departed New Japan Pro-Wrestling in late April after asking for his release, with WWE reportedly listing the Hawaiian powerhouse on their internal roster. Cory Hays on X/Twitter has stated that Cobb is expected to be part of SmackDown when he officially lands in WWE.
When Cobb is set to make his on-screen WWE debut is as yet unknown, but PWInsider have reported that he is expected at WWE Backlash in St. Louis on May 10. Again, whether Cobb will appear on-screen or not is unknown.
Reports state there were fans of Cobb in both WWE main roster circles and NXT, with the former pushing for him to be called straight up due to his age and the latter pointing to his experience and how it would be beneficial to NXT.
Whilst WWE have yet to publicly announce Cobb’s signing, Cobb has made it ‘clear’ that he has retired from the pro-wrestling industry.
