Back in February, Fozzy announced that a planned date during their tour was to be cancelled. The Royal Grove in Nebraska has decided to take some shots in pure pro wrestling style, posting to their social media yesterday and issuing the following statement.
"Fozzy has canceled their show at The Royal Grove on May 3rd. The band’s lead singer has chosen to prioritize a wrestling match and despite our efforts to keep the show as agreed, they have ultimately declined to perform."
They also shared a snippet of a text which read the following.
“Hi Grig, management has just advised that there is an issue with the show date. Chris’ wrestling schedule has changed and they are no longer able to perform on May 3rd.”
The Royal Grove is shooting, brother.
Jericho has been absent from AEW programming for the last month, last appearing on the April 9 AEW Dynamite where he shared his disappointment in both Big Bill and Bryan Keith of The Learning Tree, before taking his leave for Fozzy’s tour. AEW Collision aired last night on May 3, but Jericho was nowhere to be seen, so it is unknown how and why his schedule didn’t line up.
