Ring of Honor are on the road to Supercard of Honor, with the first matches announced for the PPV event on July 11.
Set for Arlington, Texas’ Esports Arena, Supercard of Honor XVIII will be ROH’s first stand-alone PPV event of the year, with the promotion previously playing part of NJPW’s Wrestle Dynasty event on January 5. The event was originally scheduled for May 2 but was later moved to July.
As seen on the June 26 edition of ROH TV on HonorClub, four matches have been announced for the event, with four of ROH’s main titles set to be contested on the show.
ROH World Champion Bandido will be putting the title on the line against Konosuke Takeshita after ‘The Alpha’ challenged the champ during a backstage segment on ROH TV. This will be the second-ever singles bout between the two, with Takeshita defeating Bandido on a June 2023 episode of AEW Rampage.
The ‘eternal champion’ Athena will be looking to extend her record-breaking run as ROH Women’s World Champion when she takes on Thunder Rosa. The two have never faced off in singles competition, but they have recently exchanged wins in tag competition across AEW, ROH, and CMLL.
As seen at ROH/CMLL Global Wars, the legendary Blue Panther got a clean win over Pure Champion Lee Moriarty inside Arena México, with Panther now set to get a shot at the belt at Supercard 18.
Additionally, the ROH World Tag Team Championships will be on the line on the show as The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara) will face either The Infantry or Top Flight, with the two teams set to face off on ROH TV for a shot at the gold.
