January 15 featured the premiere of Thursday Night IMPACT on AMC and two new TNA additions were revealed during the show.

TNA's on-screen Director of Authority Santino Marella introduced Sonya Deville as another authority figure during the episode, with the former WWE talent now known as Daria Rae. She then proceeded to turn heel, criticising Marella and the fans in attendance before Rae unveiled Elayna Black (FKA Cora Jade) as the newest member of the TNA Knockouts division.

Daria Rae was previously a part of WWE from 2015 until the company allowed her contract to expire in early 2025. Rae noted in the summer of 2025 that she was retired from pro wrestling "for now."

Elayna Black performed for WWE from 2021 until her release in May 2025. Black swiftly returned to the independent wrestling scene following her release, but she announced in July 2025 that she was taking a break from the industry for her mental health. Black has instead been focusing on her OnlyFans in recent months.

Elayna Black had four matches in TNA in 2025 as part of the WWE NXT-TNA working relationship and she unsuccessfully challenged for the Knockouts World Title at Sacrifice.
