Drew McIntyre has not been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 42, but his return could be on the horizon.

While this does not mean he will definitely be returning, McIntyre is advertised for tonight's episode of Friday Night SmackDown in Lexington, Kentucky on WWE.com. McIntyre is also being advertised for next week's SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain on May 29.

Furthermore, McIntyre is actually being advertised for a match on WWE's upcoming European tour, with the Zénith de Strasbourg promoting Drew McIntyre vs. Jacob Fatu in a Street Fight as one of the matches that will take place at the house show on June 2.

McIntyre's last televised WWE appearance saw him lose to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match at night one of WrestleMania 42. It was noted following the pay-per-view that McIntyre was off TV to film the remainder of his scenes for the upcoming Highlander reboot. McIntyre will appear in the movie as Angus MacLeod, the brother of protagonist Connor MacLeod, portrayed by Henry Cavill. Fellow former WWE Champion Batista will also appear in the movie along with the likes of Russell Crowe and Karen Gillan.

WWE's summer 2026 tour of Europe will begin on Thursday, May 28 with a house show in Liverpool, England and continue, outside of a brief return to the United States, until a final house show in Sheffield, England on Wednesday, June 24. One name who will not be on the tour is CM Punk after WWE made a change to the former World Heavyweight Champion's schedule.
