Brock Lesnar has been absent from WWE programming since 2023, not resurfacing in the company after being named amidst the ongoing lawsuit and sex-trafficking scandal between former WWE employee Janel Grant and Vince McMahon.

There has been some talk here and there amongst fans of a potential Brock Lesnar return, specifically when he is referenced or named on WWE programming. For instance, Lesnar was name-dropped by Cody Rhodes in the lead up to WrestleMania 41, though reports noted that WWE had no current plans for a Lesnar comeback.

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier spoke on the status of Lesnar when talking to Demetrious Johnson, pushing away any prospect of a match down the line with Lesnar in WWE due to him being on the “banned list”.

“I mean, Brock is on a banned list right now. Brock got into so much trouble…I ain’t telling you on air what Brock did. Brock is in so much trouble.”

Nothing more was revealed about what this means, though it may relate to his mentioning in the lawsuit, in which it was alleged that McMahon had sent Lesnar explicit content of Grant and offered her services to convince him to sign a new deal.
