It was revealed yesterday that Danhausen had officially parted ways with AEW, and these reports coincided with various not-so-cryptic social media posts from Danhausen himself relating the topic of “freedom”. It took mere hours for Danhausen to find a new home, being revealed as the mysterious contents of a crate which has been making the rounds on WWE programming for the last several weeks.
Danhausen emerged from the crate alongside various backup dancers, making an entrance fit with pyro, a dance routine, handing Michael Cole a jar-full of teeth, and finally disappearing in a plume of smoke. If it wasn’t clear by this whole segment, PWInsider confirmed that Danhausen has officially signed a deal with WWE and is a member of their roster. It is noted that WWE made a lot of effort to hide Danhausen throughout the day in order to keep the debut a surprise. He will reportedly be at Monday Night RAW this week.
His arrival at Elimination Chamber prompted an initial pop, but his entrance was later followed by boos from the fans inside the United Center. It was reported late last year that WWE had mixed feelings about signing Danhausen. BodySlam.net has also given some insight on Danhausen's WWE signing, explaining that he has signed a multi-year deal with the promotion. It is also stated that WWE wanted to sign him last year before AEW extended his deal.
