Danhausen Exits AEW

Yesterday, Danhausen began making some not-so-vague posts to social media, all centered around the subject of “freedom”. It had been known in recent months that Danhausen’s AEW contract had been expected to expire in February of this year, and with the month drawing to a close, many were coming to the conclusion that he had finally left AEW.

It has now been confirmed by PWInsider that Danhausen has now officially exited AEW, with him also removed from AEW’s roster page. It is noted that there is some speculation of Danhausen being inside the mystery crate that has been circulating WWE programming, though nothing has been confirmed or officially reported on this front. 

Last year it was revealed that the subject of signing Danhausen had come up within WWE, though the feelings about signing him were mixed, with some not being so fond of his talents. Danhausen signed with AEW back in 2022, though eventually fell out of favor. He did request his release back in 2025, but this was denied, with his deal instead being extended to cover injury time.
