Danhausen recently signed with WWE following several years spent under AEW contract. During his four-year stay in the promotion, Danhausen wrestled a grand total of 21 times (though some of these were untelevised or on AEW’s YouTube Dark show). From 2023 onwards, Danhausen was sparingly featured, falling out of favor with Tony Khan. Danhausen has now commented on some of his time in AEW.

Speaking on Cheap Heat with Peter Rosenberg, Danhausen hit back at Rosenberg’s claims that saw a lot of Danhausen in AEW.

“No, you didn’t. You definitely did not. You saw me online a lot. Perception is reality. Danhausen would do vlogs backstage on his own and do videos with his enemies and his friendhausens, and he’d put those out there so maybe it seemed like I was doing more than I was. I was not there. I was doing the independent scenes. That’s what I was doing. About three a weekend or doing conventions and some sort like New York Comic Con and things like that.”

Danhausen has become a popular name since signing with WWE, with recent rumors of plans for him to be featured in a segment at WrestleMania 42. There were reports that WWE had even considered using The Sphere in Las Vegas to promote WrestleMania by featuring Danhausen on the building, which shows the level of standing he’s managed to acquire since his debut.
