Bryan Danielson hasn’t appeared in AEW under any capacity ever since losing the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024 in a match that marked the end of his full-time career in professional wrestling. Last night, he made a surprise appearance at the Ring Of Honor show.

ROH held a joint event with ACTION Wrestling last night (ACTION DEAN~!!!2) at the WaterDance Plaza in Glendale Arizona, featuring a whole host of talent from multiple promotions. On the AEW/ROH side, the likes of Hologram, Lee Moriarty, The Beast Mortos and others were present, in addition to the likes of Rhino, Adam Priest and more from across the wrestling world.

An all-star ten man tag team match took place on the card as Blue Panther, Hologram, Virus, Valiente and Neon defeated Dr. Cerebro, Averno, Euforia, Xelhua and Volador Jr. After the match, Bryan Danielson showed up in a surprise and unannounced appearance. He paid tribute to both Blue Panther and Hologram, and even shared a hug in the ring with Panther, with whom Danielson wrestled twice last year in CMLL. Danielson’s future has been up in the air in recent months, with him revealing that he still may require neck surgery, raising questions over whether he will ever wrestle again. He has continued to still work in AEW in backstage capacities. He didn’t get physical at last night’s show.
