A former WWE World Heavyweight Champion will reportedly have significant plans at this year's edition of SummerSlam.
According to Fightful Select, Damian Priest has wrestled while banged up in 2025, particularly during his feud with Drew McIntyre in which both talents were dealing with injuries. Priest remaining on TV has been important to him, though, as he is looking to work through SummerSlam. This is because the two-day show on August 2 and August 3 is planned for MetLife Stadium and Priest considers it a "home game" due to being from New York City.
Fightful also noted that Priest is supposed to have significant creative plans for SummerSlam to appropriately feature him in his home market. There is no word on what the plans for Priest are, however.
Damian Priest's recent rival in Drew McIntyre is currently taking time off from WWE TV, having been written off with a conchairto from Priest on the May 24 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event.
Priest has only wrestled once since Saturday Night's Main Event, competing in a King of the Ring four-way on June 13 that was ultimately won by Cody Rhodes.
