Damage CTRL are officially no more, having been quietly disbanded by WWE. The dissolution of the stable was expected and considered likely following the WWE release of Dakota Kai in early May.
Fightful Select has reported that the internal decision within WWE to disband the group was made in early May when Dakota Kai was officially let go by the company. A note was issued at this time to no longer announce the remaining members of the stable as "representing Damage CTRL." When the group was quietly ended, only IYO SKY was on WWE TV, with Kairi Sane not returning until later in May after the stable had been quietly split.
Despite Asuka's impending return to WWE TV as part of the Queen of the Ring tournament, there are no plans to revive Damage CTRL. Combinations of the group may still end up teaming together, though, and the stable could eventually be brought back, Fightful added.
Damage CTRL was formed at SummerSlam 2022 by Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY. Asuka and Kairi Sane joined the stable in late 2023 and Bayley was later kicked out of the group ahead of her WWE Women's Title feud with IYO SKY, which led to a match at WrestleMania XL.
