Drilla Moloney won't be leaving New Japan Pro-Wrestling in the near future.

Moloney announced at the New Beginning in Osaka following his match that he had re-signed with NJPW and he will be in the 2026 New Japan Cup. It has since been announced that Moloney will receive a bye in the first round and face the winner of Yuya Uemura vs. Great-O-Khan.

Fightful Select has reported that Moloney politely declined interest from companies in the United States in order to stay with New Japan Pro-Wrestling. It is unknown which American promotions were interested in Moloney.

Moloney's new NJPW contract was finalised in the last week and it was said to be a favourable deal for the former Bullet Club member. The expectation is Moloney's new contract is a one-year deal that will keep him under contract until the beginning of February 2027.

Drilla Moloney has been wrestling for NJPW since 2023. He is a two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion with Clark Connors, although Connors has either signed or is on the brink of signing with All Elite Wrestling, and Moloney formed a tag team with Shingo Takagi in late 2025.
