Anya Rune on WWE EVOLVE

Airica Demia (AKA Anya Rune) has announced that she is stepping back from professional wrestling due to her physical and mental health.

Rune wrote on X/Twitter:

"Hi everybody. I know a post like this is gonna let a lot of you down but I feel like its very necessary. Hell, I never thought I would end up making a post like this.
"I need to take a step back from wrestling. Both for my physical and mental health. I don't know how long this is going to last but I'm hoping to find a new love for it in the time I will be spending away. I will be keeping my social media somewhat active, it'll just be less wrestling related content.
"I have unfortunately fallen out of love with wrestling but that doesn't mean I don't love everything its given me.
"I love and appreciate every single last one of you guys who have continued to support me through everything. Thank you so much."

Airica Demia had been signed to a WWE ID contract since March 2026 but she was released from that contract in early September. Demia has only wrestled once since then, performing at Hooligan Championship Wrestling on September 26.

Demia appeared on WWE EVOLVE as Anya Rune through her ID deal, where she wrestled as an anime girl and used a hadouken as her finisher complete with an edited-in fireball. She is likely to continue appearing on EVOLVE due to how far in advance the show is taped.

Demia has been wrestling since 2023, primarily competing on the indies, although she did work a Ring of Honor TV taping in March 2024, losing to Nyla Rose in under two minutes.
