AEW Signs UK Indy Veteran

A veteran of the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene has been signed by All Elite Wrestling to work behind the scenes as a backstage agent/producer.

Nathan Cruz made the announcement on Instagram, revealing he was present at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door from London's The O2.

"What an amazing week. I am so grateful to @aew and @tonyrkhan for this incredible opportunity to join the team as a coach/agent. Everyone has been so welcoming and I couldn't be more proud to be joining a team that last night set an attendance record for professional wrestling inside the O2 Arena in London! I've been sitting on this news for quite a while now and it's relief to be able to finally talk about it publicly," Cruz wrote.

"After 19 years in this industry, many ups and downs that have been well documented for those who know my career; this honestly means more than I could put into words. Thank you."

As part of his new role, Cruz will be leaving the United Kingdom in the coming weeks. He is still available for seminar bookings until September 14, however.

Nathan Cruz has performed across the UK independent wrestling scene for almost 20 years. He is a former PROGRESS World Champion and previously wrestled on a 2016 episode of WWE NXT, losing to Elias.
