All Elite Wrestling have issued a response to the lawsuit filed against the promotion and Jon Moxley by a former crew member over Moxley's Steel Cage Match with Kenny Omega on a 2023 episode of Dynamite.
Former AEW production member Christopher Dispensa sued AEW and Jon Moxley (real name Jonathan Good) on May 30 in Wayne County Circuit Court, alleging negligence, civil assault, and battery. Dispensa has claimed he suffered severe neck and shoulder injuries when he was unexpectedly shoved to the ground by Moxley during a Steel Cage Match with Kenny Omega on the May 10, 2023 episode of AEW Dynamite. The alleged injuries occurred after Moxley exited the cage to grab a screwdriver from Dispensa, shoving him to the ground in the process.
All Elite Wrestling responded to the lawsuit on July 3 and filed for the case to be moved to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, Southern Division. AEW have cited diversity of citizenship and a claimed lien over $215,000 as reasons for the move.
It was noted within the court filing that attorneys for AEW are only representing the promotion, but Jon Moxley has concurred with the motion to move the case to federal court.
