AEW Makes Preliminary Contact With Steve Maclin

In an update on his potential next destination, there has been at least preliminary contact between Steve Maclin and All Elite Wrestling, according to Fightful Select. It is unknown whether the two sides will work out a deal, however.

Steve Maclin is currently a free agent after being granted his release from TNA in early June. The 39-year-old has been wrestling on the indies since then for the likes of Maple Leaf Pro, Wrestling REVOLVER, and PRODUCE.

Maclin's wife Deonna Purrazzo is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, having joined the organisation at the beginning of 2024. Purrazzo is wholly utilised in Ring of Honor and she is the reigning ROH Women's Pure Champion, although she is currently on the shelf due to injury.

Steve Maclin has been wrestling since 2012 and performed for WWE from 2014 until 2021. He then signed with TNA Wrestling in the summer of 2021 and he was a featured performer throughout his stint with the company, which included a 54-day reign with the TNA World Championship in 2023. Maclin was also the inaugural TNA International Champion and had two reigns with the belt.

At the time of his release, Maclin was involved in the TNA main event scene, with his final match being for the TNA World Title on the May 21 episode of IMPACT.
