Before and following a live edition of Dynamite on Wednesday night, All Elite Wrestling taped the special Beach Break edition of Collision at the NOW Arena in Chicago, Illinois. The show will air on Saturday, May 17 on TNT.

SPOILERS AHEAD

The Collision taping opened with a match taped ahead of Dynamite as Kyle Fletcher defeated AR Fox in a competitive match. After the Collision taping began proper following Dynamite, the first segment saw AEW pay tribute to the late Steve "Mongo" McMichael with Ric Flair, Dean Malenko, and Mongo's widow Misty during which Flair said McMichael was more man than anyone he has ever known.

The in-ring action resumed after the tribute to Mongo as Megan Bayne picked up a win over Anna Jay. A new match was then set up for Double or Nothing as Nigel McGuinness accepted FTR's challenge from the announce desk and it will be FTR vs. Nigel McGuinness and Daniel Garcia at the May 25 pay-per-view.

Brody King, Tomohiro Ishii and ROH World Champion Bandido then defeated Roppongi Vice and Lance Archer, with the Don Callis Family attacking the babyface post-match until The Outrunners made the save. "Speedball" Mike Bailey then continued to build momentum with a win over Blake Christian. Speedball called out Okada post-match so the AEW Continental Champion came out and called Bailey a b*tch. Dralistico and RUSH then attacked Bailey post-match.

Big Bill and Bryan Keith teamed together in a Chicago Street Fight, defeating Gates of Agony. New number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Titles were then determined as The Sons of Texas of Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara defeated The CRU's Lio Rush and Action Andretti. Rhodes and Guevara will challenge The Hurt Syndicate at Double or Nothing.

In the main event of AEW Collision Beach Break, Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wheeler Yuta with a Spinebuster. Marina Shafir attacked Hobbs from behind after the match before Willow Nightingale made the save. Kris Statlander then stood at the entrance ramp and watched Wheeler Yuta threaten Willow but did nothing to stop it, with Nightingale calling out Statlander on it as the taping came to an end.
