WWE have been holding Backlash pay-per-views since 1999 and, perhaps unsurprisingly considering its proximity to WrestleMania, there haven't been loads of title changes across the 20 editions of the pay-per-view, with it often being a case of a show where the new champion from WrestleMania records their first successful title defence, possibly even in a WrestleMania rematch.
That isn't always the case, though, and there have been 21 title changes in Backlash history, with a few of them being high-profile world title wins.
