There have been a lot of rumours surrounding the prospect of a Wyatt Sicks return to WWE programming over the last month, with it previously being noted that they would return when the time was right, with it also being rumoured that the faction would align with Alexa Bliss at some point in the future.
On last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on May 23, the group featuring Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Dexter Lumis, Joe Gacy and Nikki Cross finally made their return to WWE programming for the first time since December last year. In a nice touch, they returned on what would have been the late Bray Wyatt’s 38th birthday.
In the main event of SmackDown, WWE Tag Team Champions Street Profits put their titles on the line against main roster newcomers Fraxiom, until the lights went down and The Wyatt Sicks appeared in the ring, laying out those in the ring (and laying out DIY and Motor City Machine Guns who were also present) and standing tall to close out the show. Instead of blowing out the signature lantern, Uncle Howdy blew out a candle on a birthday cake.
