WWE's Original Survivor Series 2026 Plans Fall Through

WWE's original plans for Survivor Series 2026 ultimately have not come to fruition.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that in late 2025, WWE were exploring the possibility of holding Survivor Series 2026 at an international location, but those plans have fallen through in the last few months. This is believed to be the reason no date or location has been announced for this year's Survivor Series as of yet.

One city that made a push to host Survivor Series was Boston, Massachusetts, but those negotiations fell apart over the financials of the pay-per-view being held in Boston, similar to talks over John Cena's last match taking place in his hometown on the December 13, 2025 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event.

Since the pay-per-view was introduced in 1987, Survivor Series has only ever taken place in the United States or Canada. The event has traditionally taken place in an arena, too, but 2026's Survivor Series emanated from San Diego's Petco Park, with over 46,000 in attendance, and talk in late 2025 noted WWE were considering another stadium for 2026's Survivor Series.
