During WrestleMania 41 season, Travis Scott was involved in the WWE Championship storyline alongside names such as The Rock, Cody Rhodes, and John Cena, and despite rumours that he was on the verge of competing inside the ring, the music star ultimately never reappeared after his involvement in the Rhodes vs. Cena WrestleMania main event. We have now learned some more as to why this was the case.
WWE Hall Of Famer, Booker T, was one of those who was training Scott for an in-ring debut, and he recently revealed on his Hall Of Fame podcast why Scott ultimately left the wrestling business before his journey had even really begun.
“I was working with him. You see a lot of guys like Logan Paul, like Bad Bunny, Speed and they come in and do a lot of things. A lot of times it’s for them, but it’s not for everybody. And I think with Travis Scott, this guy got so much work, man. He’s doing this, he’s doing that, he’s doing this, and then to try to do this. I think that’s what it was more than anything. After working with him just a couple of times, he could actually perform the work. I saw it with my own eyes. But I just think timing, compared to every other project he had going on, as well as his music, I just don’t think the timing was right.”
It was revealed last year that WWE and Scott had had a “full falling out” after his departure from storylines, never completing reported planned angles with The Rock and others.
