Why MVP Was Absent From AEW All In 2026

Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin were in action on the AEW All In 2026 Buy In, teaming with Big Boom AJ and QT Marshall to defeat Shane Taylor Promotions, but their Hurt Syndicate stablemate in MVP was nowhere to be seen inside Wembley Stadium.

According to Fightful Select, the reason they were given for MVP's absence was that the "visa processes have changed" but it is being worked on for the future. In the latest guidance, foreign nationals looking to visit the United Kingdom from a country where you do not need a visa, which includes the United States, must apply for the UK’s Electronic Travel Authorisation. An ETA gives permission to travel to the UK for tourism, visiting family or friends, and short business trips, but an ETA application must be refused if the applicant "has been convicted of a criminal offence in the UK or overseas for which they have received a custodial or suspended sentence of 12 months or more."

MVP previously spent nine and a half years in prison for robbing a cruise ship casino when he was 16 years old. MVP noted to VICE in 2019 that he ended up receiving the most time out of his co-conspirators as he refused to cooperate. He ultimately pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery and 10 counts of armed kidnapping and he was sentenced to 18 and a half years behind bars, ultimately serving nine and a half years.

MVP's criminal conviction and him needing an ETA was the reason for his absence from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025, which also took place in London, England, he revealed to Chris Van Vliet.
