When Jack Perry Signed New AEW Deal Revealed

Jack Perry recently put pen-to-paper on a new AEW deal, with the Elite member committing his future to the promotion.

The former AEW World Tag Team Champion was approaching the end of his prior deal heading into July, ultimately revealing on AEW Dynamite Beach Break on July 8 that he’d re-signed with the promotion during a pre-produced video segment with All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan.

Reports as late as July 7 stated that Perry had not re-signed with the promotion, and a new report from Fightful Select states that Perry’s contract signing segment was legitimate, with the contract signed by Perry on camera a legit legal and binding contract and not a prop.

AEW continued to book Perry and keep him featured on TV prior to sorting his deal, and although rumours suggested WWE were interested in the former ‘Jungle Boy’, reports after Perry’s re-signing claimed that WWE were not too interested in potentially acquiring his services, with Perry apparently not fitting into WWE’s current landscape.

Perry has been part of AEW since its inception in 2019, with Perry subsequently referred to as one of the promotion’s Four Pillars (alongside MJF, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin). In AEW, Perry is a former TNT Champion, AEW National Champion, FTW Champion, and AEW World Tag Team Champion having held the latter with Luchasaurus as Jurassic Express.
