As part of Riyadh Season, WWE is scheduled to head back to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as part of their ongoing relationship with the country, taking over the Riyadh Stadium in the King Abdullah Financial District on November 7 for the latest installment of the Crown Jewel PLE series. Despite recent international conflict, nothing has changed in WWE’s scheduling as of yet, though there has now been more question marks raised about the event.

On October 10, the US Embassy issued a statement to recommend no travel to Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and surrounding areas following the latest attacks on a passenger terminal at the airport, which was reportedly struck with a missile, per the Associated Press. This comes after more attacks on the same airport took place just two days ago. With WWE intending to take likely hundreds of backstage staff and talent to Riyadh in less than a month, fans have been wondering aloud as to why this show is still going ahead.

It has been noted for several weeks that there have been discussions within WWE about the location of the Crown Jewel event, with some talent in the promotion hoping for plans to change and for travel to Saudi Arabia to be cancelled. WWE has still yet to announce the official date for WrestleMania 43, which also takes place in Saudi Arabia, although tentative scheduling plans were revealed this week.
