Update On WWE's Plans To Lower Ticket Prices

WWE's plans to reduce ticket prices for the company's events through the summer won't be a wholesale change, and which shows have cheaper tickets will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

This is according to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, who has reported:

"What I can tell you is, immediately after this promo, the lower bowl tickets for WrestleMania dropped below $2,000 for the first time. So they did immediately lower ticket prices for WrestleMania. Not by a lot, but they did lower them.

"I was also told that, not every show, but there are shows through the summer where they are planning to lower ticket prices. And obviously if it's going to be in like a hot market where they're easily going to sell out at high prices, they aren't dropping the prices for that. I mean, if it's a smaller show in a smaller market - you know, Seattle didn't sell out, and the ticket prices were ridiculous… A show like that, they're going to lower the ticket prices through the summer. So depending on the market, what they think they can sell - they're not lowering everything across the board. But for shows where they don't expect to sell out, they are lowering ticket prices."

WrestleMania 42 ticket prices were criticised by CM Punk during his latest pipe bomb promo on the April 6 episode of Monday Night Raw, during which he called on TKO CEO Ari Emanuel to lower prices. This reportedly reflects the views of several top WWE stars, who have pushed for the company to reduce ticket prices as they feel die-hard fans are being priced out of attending WWE shows.

The price of tickets for WWE events has been under scrutiny for several months, especially after research revealed that ticket prices have doubled since the UFC-WWE merger under TKO in September 2023. The price of tickets has also been a factor in ticket sales for WrestleMania 42 lagging behind WrestleMania 41, with both events taking place at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium.
