Update On Steve Austin's WWE WrestleMania 42 Status

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin will be in Las Vegas for WrestleMania 42 weekend, but his involvement with WWE in the coming days doesn't stop there.

BodySlam has reported that Austin is currently scheduled to be backstage at WrestleMania 42 from Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium. It is unknown if he will make a surprise appearance at the show, however. Austin last appeared on WWE programming at WrestleMania 41, where he announced the attendance for WrestleMania Sunday, during which he crashed an ATV into the barricade.

Austin is already booked for the WWE World convention and he will be taking photos and signing autographs on Saturday and Sunday. Dave Meltzer also reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Austin and WWE President Nick Khan have been mentioned as being expected to attend Josh Barnett's Bloodsport XV today at 3 pm PT.

Steve Austin has not wrestled since he came out of retirement for one night at WrestleMania 38 to defeat Kevin Owens in a Street Fight. Austin noted earlier this year that he could wrestle again if he wanted to, but the WWE Hall of Famer probably won't.
