It appears All Elite Wrestling's plans will not be thrown into turmoil despite an injury to AEW World Champion MJF.
It was announced on Thursday by Beyond Wrestling that MJF would not be able to wrestle his scheduled match against Bobby Orlando at Break The Walls Down on Friday, June 5 due to suffering a hyperextended knee during his AEW World Title defence against RUSH on Wednesday night's edition of Dynamite. It was noted that Friedman was not cleared to compete or even travel due to the injury.
In an update on the situation, Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has reported that MJF's injury is legitimate but the hope within AEW is that the issue is not serious.
Since the announcement of MJF's injury, All Elite Wrestling's Lio Rush and Wheeler Yuta have been added to Beyond Wrestling Break The Walls Down, which will be held in Cranston, Rhode Island.
MJF successfully defended the AEW World Championship against RUSH in the first title defence of his third reign with the Triple B. The two competitors had a physical contest and Friedman won the match after RUSH passed out to an omoplata submission.
