Braun Strowman was released by WWE for a second time in May 2025, but will the former Universal Champion continue to wrestle?
Strowman last wrestled on an April 2025 edition of WWE SmackDown, but has not laced up his boots since. Whilst promoting his new TV show, Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman, on X/Twitter, Strowman noted that he isn’t done with wrestling for good:
"Not saying that I’m not gonna get back in the ring and whip somebody’s a**, because we all know I can. But, it’s an opportunity for me to try some stuff and I’m really looking forward to it. I’m looking forward to rekindling relationships with family and friends that I’ve missed out on and things that you don’t get to do while you’re on the road," said Strowman.
The multi-time champion was the highest-profile name released by WWE in May 2025 in a company-wide round of cuts, with Strowman’s high salary believed to have been a deciding factor in his exit. Strowman was subject to WWE’s usual 90-day no-compete clause, but that expired on July 31.
