Just days after announcing her departure from WWE, Ava (real name Simone Johnson) took aim at the Donald Trump administration and ICE on X/Twitter, writing: "And now that i can say this with my full chest, [middle finger emoji] ice and that entire administration."
Following the tweet, Ava deleted her X/Twitter account. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has reported that it was Simone Johnson's decision to take down her Twitter account, and it was not forced on her by anybody.
WWE have close links to the Donald Trump administration. Former WWE CEO Linda McMahon is the United States secretary of education, while WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque is the vice chair of the President's Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition.
Ava announced she had decided not to renew her WWE contract on Friday, January 30 and last week's NXT would be her final TV appearance. Ava ultimately exited WWE as she simply decided she didn't want to work in pro wrestling anymore. The expectation is Ava will work for Seven Bucks Productions, the company founded by her father The Rock and mother Dany Garcia.
Simone Johnson had been a part of WWE since 2020, primarily working as an authority figure as the general manager of NXT.
