TKO Looking To Introduce Half-Time Show Concerts For Major WWE Events

American hip hop artist Quavo will be performing to open WWE Sunday Night's Main Event on September 6 in Atlanta, Georgia, to perform an unreleased track from his upcoming QROMELIFE album, but this may be just the beginning of more concerts at WWE events.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that WWE's parent company TKO were set on having a musical performance at Sunday Night's Main Event, with the original plan being for Lil Yachty to perform on September 6, but the rapper will instead be wrestling Baron Corbin on the show.

Sunday's Quavo performance is internally viewed as a way to enhance the experience for fans inside State Farm Arena and to test the waters on including musical performances at larger WWE shows moving forward, with TKO's long-term vision being to introduce half-time show-esque concerts at WWE events.

Those hopes from TKO come at a time when WWE pay-per-views are already filled with commercials and sponsorship integration, and this latest idea from WWE's parent company would likely only take even more time away from the wrestling on professional wrestling shows.

Other TKO involvement with WWE in 2026 has seen TKO CEO Ari Emanuel insert Pat McAfee into the WrestleMania 42 programme between Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton, which led to plans of Randy Orton & Pat McAfee vs. Cody Rhodes & Jelly Roll for Backlash. That match never happened, though, after Pat McAfee left pro wrestling following Orton's loss at WrestleMania 42.

TKO also tasked WWE with cutting millions of dollars in payroll following WrestleMania 42 which resulted in the releases of around 30 wrestlers, while several talents accepted pay cuts to remain with WWE.
