Title In WWE NXT Vacated

A championship within WWE NXT was declared vacant over the weekend, with a new champion set to be crowned on June 24.

WWE NXT General Manager Ava suddenly revealed that Noam Dar was vacating the NXT Heritage Cup Championship because of an injury.

"Due to injury, Noam Dar will not be able to compete this Tuesday and will have to relinquish the NXT Heritage Cup Championship. This Tuesday, Stacks with compete in a match to crown a new Heritage Cup Champion against an opponent to be named," Ava wrote.

It has since been made official that Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo's opponent will be Tony D'Angelo. Lorenzo and D'Angelo were previously allies until Stacks turned on his stablemate at Stand & Deliver. Tony D'Angelo is a former NXT Heritage Cup Champion, having held the cup for 91 days in 2024 between Charlie Dempsey reigns.

The exact nature of Noam Dar's injury is currently unknown. Dar only returned from 11 months out of action in April 2025, regaining the NXT Heritage Cup Championship upon his return. He last wrestled at an NXT live event on June 13.
