The New Level's Signing Seen As AEW's Gain And WWE's Loss

There is plenty of positivity within All Elite Wrestling surrounding the signing of The New Level, who made their debuts at All In 2026.

PWInsider has reported that Austin Creed and Kofi "absolutely ingratiated themselves" into the AEW locker room, with the tag team going "well out of their way" to introduce themselves and meet everyone they could backstage at Wembley Stadium. The duo did not come across as if they were above anyone else in AEW because of their WWE runs and they were said to be extremely open in interactions with everyone at the event, with a ton of people in AEW beyond impressed by The New Level. One source noted to PWInsider that, "WWE's loss was absolutely AEW's gain."

The New Level debuted as part of the wild card team with Swerve Strickland in the Roulette Royale for the AEW World Trios Championships, with the new trio winning the belts after last eliminating The Death Riders.

Kofi and Creed had previously been signed to WWE until they were granted their releases in the aftermath of WrestleMania 42. This came after WWE approached the former New Day about accepting pay cuts just months after they had signed new multi-year deals with the company.

AEW CEO Tony Khan noted that he approached The New Level about joining the promotion a couple of days after their 90-day non-compete clauses expired. Kofi and New Day look set to be involved in both the AEW World Trios and AEW World Tag Team title pictures.
