Last night’s TNA Sacrifice main event saw reigning TNA World Heavyweight Champion Mike Santana defending the gold against Steve Maclin, but the match unfortunately was brought to an abrupt halt and ended in a no contest due to an injury sustained by Maclin, leaving many in the building and watching at home worried about his condition.

The injury came after Maclin fell victim to a superkick from Santana. PWInsider have revealed some more information about Maclin’s status and the specific injury that occurred. Although it has not outrightly been confirmed, the early belief is that Maclin suffered a concussion, getting rocked with the superkick and the match ultimately getting called off by referee Alice Lane.

Once Maclin got to the back and was checked out further, it is noted that he seemed coherent but was unhappy about the fact that the main event was cancelled mid-match. TNA had Eddie Edwards run out on the fly to try and give the fans something after the main event was stopped, brawling with Santana before Edwards was laid out with a big frog splash through a table.
