A star of the United Kingdom independent wrestling scene stopped in Boston, Massachusetts to make their Ring of Honor debut ahead of travelling to Las Vegas for WrestleMania 41 weekend.
Matches for ROH TV were taped ahead of AEW Dynamite from Boston's MGM Music Hall and Michael Oku was in action at the tapings, taking on Nick Wayne. The fans in Boston were behind Oku but he was unable to win the match, being pinned after a Wayne's World following interference from Kip Sabian.
Michael Oku previously wrestled for AEW ahead of All In 2024, working a dark match at the Dynamite taping in Cardiff, Wales. It was noted at the time that AEW were close to signing Oku, but a deal was never finalised. Oku has continued to perform as one of the top stars on the UK indy scene, and he is the reigning RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion.
Oku has several matches over WrestleMania 41 weekend beginning today. He is scheduled to face EVIL at DEFY Living Proof before teaming with Hechicero and Flip Gordon against TMDK at the Mark Hitchcock Memorial Supershow later in the day. Oku will then face El Phantasmo at Prestige Wrestling Nothing to Lose before ending what will be a long day by main eventing PROGRESS Wrestling's Las Vegas show by challenging Luke Jacobs for the PROGRESS World Title in the early hours of Friday.
After probably a sleep, Oku will be one of the participants in the Ultimate Conflict Match for the DPW World Title at DEADLOCK Pro Wrestling Title Fight in Vegas.
