Hopes around the reunion of a former WWE tag team may be harming one of the company's current singles talents.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, a few within WWE creative believe fans are waiting for Enzo Amore to show up on TV which, as a result, is hampering what the creative team can do with Big Cass as a whole. This is not a unanimously held view, however.

Big Cass made his return to WWE on the Raw after SummerSlam on August 3 and the former Big Bill initially feuded with Je'Von Evans. Cass has since moved into a programme with Dragon Lee.

Rumours around Cass returning to WWE had swirled since May and it was initially reported his return would be alongside former tag team partner Enzo Amore, who was also expected to be on his way back to the organisation.

Despite Enzo to WWE looking to be pretty much a done deal in the summer, however, Amore has not signed with the company and reports have since noted he and Cass would have been kept apart anyway due to the feeling within WWE that the tag team reunion would limit Big Cass' upside.

Enzo Amore and Big Cass were previously a popular tag team in WWE from 2013 until their split in the summer of 2017. They were both out of WWE by the end of 2018 and they have seldom teamed together since, although they did reunite on the 2025 Jericho Cruise alongside Chris Jericho and Bryan Keith to take on Grizzled Young Veterans and MxM Collection.
