Rumour Killer On CM Punk Being Placed In WWE Concussion Protocol

CM Punk had a rough landing on the first episode of Monday Night Raw of 2026 during his World Heavyweight Title match, with the 47-year-old crashing onto the floor after a suicide dive spot where Bron Breakker was supposed to catch him went awry.

There was concern for Punk following Raw, but PWInsider has reported that CM Punk is not in concussion protocol. Instead, Punk spent Tuesday carrying out media duties, appearing on FOX New York's Good Day New York and other programmes.

Bryan Alvarez has reported on Wrestling Observer Live that one WWE talent is in concussion protocol following Raw, although the name of the talent is currently unknown.

Bron Breakker was also medically cleared following the match with Punk. Breakker had his own rough landing when he landed on the top of his head following a botched frankensteiner.

CM Punk went on to defeat Breakker following a GTS. He has now been World Heavyweight Champion for 67 days, having won the vacant title on the November 1 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event.
