EVIL in NJPW

Evil has been one of the most notorious heels in NJPW for several years, leading the House Of Torture on a tirade of interferences, attacks, and cheating across many matches. However, unlike many of the bigger stars in NJPW, he has yet to make an appearance in AEW or have any involvement in any Forbidden Door PPV event.

Following EVIL’s qualification for the 2025 G1 Climax finals, Fightful Select revealed why he has not had any presence in AEW thus far. It is reported that Tony Khan is not a fan of EVIL or his work in NJPW, so he hasn’t had any interest in bringing him in for matches or PPVs in AEW or for ROH, despite his history in the latter promotion.

It was noted by Fightful that there were some rumours of Tony Khan pushing for EVIL to reach the finals of the G1 Climax 35, but this is not true, with it being uncertain where these talking points emerged from. Even with AEW’s Konosuke Takeshita reaching the finals, it is stated that Tony Khan has no influence or control over the booking of the tournament. EVIL ultimately lost in the finals to Takeshita.
