Omos with the Bardahl Cup

Omos had been absent from the ring ever since January when he was pulled from an excursion in Pro Wrestling NOAH, where he won tag team gold in Japan. During AAA’s Bardahl Cup at TripleMania 33, Omos made his comeback, also making his AAA debut in the process.

During the bout, Omos faced off with Microman in a surreal showdown, and eliminated the pairing of Octagon Jr. and the latest iteration of La Parka in the final stages to win the match as the last one standing. Other WWE cameos included Joaquin Wilde and Cruz Del Toro of the LWO, and Alpha Academy’s Otis.

In the lead up to AAA’s TripleMania, it had been widely reported that WWE planned to book Omos as a part of AAA going forwards, continuing his international tour as a big attraction. The idea from WWE’s end was to make feel like a bona fide star beyond just WWE, in the same vein as Andre The Giant. Omos has not competed in WWE for over a year, last showing up at the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2024.
