Report: WWE Heavily Discussing Bringing Back Bishop Dyer/Baron Corbin

Bishop Dyer - FKA Baron Corbin - may very well be on his way back to WWE.

Dave Meltzer has reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Dyer's return to WWE has been "heavily talked about" within the company.

"Probably back in WWE. I've not heard it's a done deal, but I know it's been talked about, yes," Meltzer said, before speculating that Dyer may be reintroduced on WWE programming as Danhausen's monster.

"On the SmackDown show, when Danhausen was talking about something bigger, my gut was that that's who it is. That's just my speculation, but I just know that he's been talked with about being brought in. It might even be done, but I haven't had it officially confirmed to me it's done. But I have 100% confirmed that it's been heavily talked about," Meltzer added.

Both Fightful Select and The Takedown on SI have noted that while Bishop Dyer is a regular for Major League Wrestling, he is not signed to a contract with the promotion. Fightful also reported that Dyer returning to WWE has been speculated within the organisation in the past couple of weeks, and the former WWE talent is said to have maintained a positive relationship with the company since his departure.

Bishop Dyer performed for WWE as Baron Corbin from 2012 until WWE allowed his contract to expire in December 2024. Corbin is a one-time United States Champion and one-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Bron Breakker. Corbin is also a former Money in the Bank Ladder Match winner and former King of the Ring.

Since his WWE exit, Bishop Dyer has been a regular for MLW and he is one-half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions with Donovan Dijak as The Skyscrapers. Corbin has also wrestled regularly for Maple Leaf Pro, and he worked an AEW dark match in January 2026 where he teamed with Better Together and Martin Stone against Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn, Brady Booker and Elijah Drago.
