WWE writer Brian 'Road Dogg' James contemplates something during an episode of WWE Unreal

Road Dogg, real name Brian James, parted ways with WWE earlier this year after ‘brewing’ issues within the company and unhappiness at his annual review by the company, with several gripes ongoing before his exit. In the aftermath, it was heavily reported that the former multi-time tag team champion was in talks to sign with TNA to join their creative team following a shake-up after the release of Tommy Dreamer, among others. However, things have seemingly stalled on this front.

Despite recent reports of Road Dogg being in discussions with the company and plans emerging of what TNA’s prospective creative team would look like with him involved, a report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has revealed that talks have stalled between him and TNA and that no deal has been made yet. Additionally, it is stated that both sides are still not close to a deal being made.

With talks ongoing for so long and now stalling between the parties, it puts into question whether Road Dogg will end up even joining TNA’s refreshed creative team line-up at all.
